Cheryl Faux is a first-generation African-American artist who lives and works in Los Angeles.

Faux’s photography explores the nuances of daily life and everyday people – using nature, city streets,  and its inhabitants as her foundation.

Growing up in a global household, she comfortably moves within familiar and unfamiliar spaces with a sense of wonder that allows her to capture moments that speak to the identity of the people and places she encounters, without prejudice.

Each photograph stands as an independent moment in time. Together they form a narrative, guided not by time, but by emotion.
